| The canton, province Ticino has the southmost part of Switzerland. In the South there is a Mediterranean weather ( the deepest point of Switzerland with 192m above Sea level ) and in the North, the alpine Part, with mountains higher then 3000m, and skiing facilities in winter. | Ticino is constituted as a republic. | A lot of people spent every year their holidays in Ticino, or a few days during a long weekend. We/I too. In the past with my parents in the villages at the Monte Bre and San Salvatore at Lugano. | But the Ticino has also some problems. One of them is the international transit route crosses the Alps and the Ticino. | |||||||||||||||||||
